Veerabhadra Temple is located in Lepakshi village, which is 15 km east of Hindupur in the Anantapur district. The temple is quintessential of Vijayanagara architectural style. Built in around 16th century, this temple was sculpted by Vishwakarma Brahmin Stapathis.
The presiding deity in the temple is of Lord Veerabhadra. This temple features several sculptures in the intricate mandapams, each of which comprises pillars with life-sized images of dancers and musicians. Carved out of one single stone, the granite statue of Nandi Bull is the highlight of the temple.
